My Name is Madelei Wium I have a passion for Pilates, and a goal to lead individuals to a better & healthier life. I would like to motivate, and help you feel good and strong in your own body
Born in Bulawayo Zimbabwe – Lorraine followed a dance career until a she was forced to abandon this due to developing a form of spinal arthritis (Ankylosing Spondylitis). After marrying Mark and having her two sons, Travis and Rowan she qualified as an Aqua Aerobics instructor in 1995 and opened Take the Plunge, Aqua Fitness in Klerksdorp. As her disease improved she furthered her training in Body Conditioning, Indoor Cycle, Aerobics, Step, Pump, Pilates, Ante-Natal Exercise and Zumba and has been teaching for the last 11 years at gyms in the Richards Bay area. Lorraine opened BodyLine in Meerensee Richards Bay in 2012 and now employs 10 part time instructors. Lorraine is Internationally Pilates qualified through BASI (Body Arts and Science Institute). The motto she lives by Just Keep Moving.
I come from a background of dance doing both Ballet and Modern until my early twenties. After a fall on the ice whilst living in the UK and breaking my coccyx and fracturing my lower spine I returned to Pilates as part of my rehabilitation. I've always loved movement in all forms and I completely fell in love with the method and learning more about moving safely. I loved my time as a client so much, I decided to quit my corporate life, move back to South Africa to specifically study BASI in the sunshine and open my own little studio....the quiet life was calling. I am MTTC and CTTC qualified and excited to continue to learn, continue to grow and to then share that knowledge and passion with my clients.
I am 47 years old and have been teaching pilates for the past 13 years. Originally in White River, Mpumalanga and Nelspruit where I owned a studio. I moved to Ballito/Salt Rock 5 years ago. I have a daughter of 23 and a son of 21. I am happily married.
Passionate about life and Pilates. Love spending time at our new studio and with people that are most important to me. We want to share the wonders of Pilates with the rest of South Africa and the world.
